Blogging and that

Continuing the meta-blogging mode of late where we all question our existence at the behest of the member for Hornsey and Wood Green I thought I would add my dix centimes.
Firstly, I would like to point out what I think Lib Dem blogs do right:

Local issues: I know, blah blah, localism, blah, blah but, although [...]

"Childhood? That’s dead man, died a long time ago"

Recently, I watched Ross Kemp on Gangs - Gangs of South London about the recent increase in gun crime and other gang-related activity in London where he talked to the boys (no other word for them really) in these gangs and the people in the communities trying to help.
The programme (and others in the Kemp’s [...]

Mux It Up

Not quite sure on the legality of this (Fight The Power!) but it is an awesome little site.  Pick your tracks. Upload. Sit back and Listen to your’s and everyone else’s mux’s.
Mine is here.
(Hat-Tip: Why, That’s Delightful once more. Graham Linehan’s is here)

"Wagner’s vast ring piece"

Superbly childish but also supremely funny. Read the comments.

Update: More Amazonian amusement here, here and here.

Swish new beeb news website design

The beeb have updated their slightly shoddy template for their news website. On first impressions it seems pretty nice - easier to read, wider spacing, good colour, less clutter - all in all a good update I think although if anyone can point me to where you can easily find the radio station pages I [...]

Like a new character in a soap opera

Listening to an old episode of Armando Iannucci’s Charm Offensive while trying to work out what is wrong with my Matlab script and liked Dave Gorman’s description of Cameron:
“He is sort of like a new character in a soap opera, and they have signed him up for five years but the writers haven’t quite worked [...]

Webbo on webbo campaigning

From here to here to the video below.  We seem to be the best party at this but we could be doing so much more.  It’ll be interesting to see what Jerome Armstrong does with Paddick’s Campaign.

Blogroll additions and other stuff. That is all.

Rather than writing anything witty and erudite this week I have been mostly procrastinating reading other’s observations of the world. I have added a few to my ever expanding blogroll:
Pootergeek and Chase me ladies, I’m in the cavalry certainly don’t need any introduction from me but both are worth a read, particularly chase me [...]

Eliot and I have similar tastes

Just reading the Lexington Column of The Economist and found out that the NY Governor’s tryst with Ms Kristen took place in the Mayflower hotel in Washington, DC - the very same hotel that I stayed on my trip to DC.  It’s nice to know that myself and hypocritical, philandering bastards have the same classic [...]

Reach out, reach out for me

I kept quiet about last week’s furore that split LibDems down the middle.  I felt that we should all just take a deep breath, count to 10 and remember why we joined the party in the first place.
No, I’m not talking about the EU treaty shambles, that was D.U.L.L.-O.,  I talking about the blog spats [...]
