The definitive top 10
Filed in Blogging, July 28, 2008, 1:13 pmAlthough you’ve all got your own ideas of what constitutes a good blog I, of course, know better. So in proper TOTP countdown style, start playing ‘whole lotta love‘ from my mux (bow-wow-wow-wow,wa,wa,wa,wa…):
10. She’s a baroness, she’s from Suffolk, what more could you want. In at 10, it’s Mrs Valladares
9. One half of the Lib [...]
OHA is now 5HB
Filed in Blogging, US, July 25, 2008, 2:56 pmHowdy.
OneHourAhead is now posting from the other side of the Atlantic instead of the other side of the North Sea so forgive me for being slightly late on the draw on any breaking news.
I will however at least have a ringside seat for one of the most exciting political races in recent history. I [...]
Speak to Me (Once More)!
Filed in Blogging, Liberal Democrats, Public Perception, coveritlive, June 3, 2008, 6:33 pmHi all, I would like to sound you all out on the possibility of running real-time chats, via coveritlive, with prominent party members.
Like most, I have been massively impressed with Millenium’s blogger interviews. The chance for us hoi-polloi to go and talk face-to-face with the top people in one of the main parties in British [...]
Guido keeps his head, and his liberty
Filed in Blogging, May 15, 2008, 12:32 pmwell, most of his liberty.
After being caught drink driving with no insurance last month the magistrate has given Paul:
A 3-month curfew order, applicable between the hours of 9pm-6am
An electronic tag
An 18-month supervision order, and
A 3-year driving ban
So, early nights and a bit more exercise for ol’ Guido. Might do him some good.
(HT: Chicken Yoghurt [...]
At least thanks to Liberalism, it won’t be the gallows this time
Filed in Blogging, April 30, 2008, 1:08 pmIt seems one of our poli-blogging contingent may be in a slight spot of bother.
Mr Paul Staines aka ‘Guido Fawkes’ of the high moral ground was caught earlier this month (I think after the ASI blogging evening as there were rumours of someone waking up as a guest of Her Majesty’s Constabulary) driving whilst twice [...]
Liar, Liar, Pants On Fire
Filed in Blogging, April 3, 2008, 7:56 amIf you are in need of a good laugh this morning pop over to DK here where the great and good of the UK poliblogosphere, i.e. Tim Ireland, Iain Dale and Paul DeLaire Staines are acting like four-year-olds and continually calling each other liar. Iain has even used the f-word. Ummm, I’m telling. As you [...]
Blogging and that
Filed in Blogging, Liberal Democrats, March 31, 2008, 5:17 pmContinuing the meta-blogging mode of late where we all question our existence at the behest of the member for Hornsey and Wood Green I thought I would add my dix centimes.
Firstly, I would like to point out what I think Lib Dem blogs do right:
Local issues: I know, blah blah, localism, blah, blah but, although [...]
Blogroll additions and other stuff. That is all.
Filed in Blogging, March 26, 2008, 11:59 amRather than writing anything witty and erudite this week I have been mostly procrastinating reading other’s observations of the world. I have added a few to my ever expanding blogroll:
Pootergeek and Chase me ladies, I’m in the cavalry certainly don’t need any introduction from me but both are worth a read, particularly chase me [...]
Reach out, reach out for me
Filed in Blogging, Liberal Democrats, March 11, 2008, 1:19 pmI kept quiet about last week’s furore that split LibDems down the middle. I felt that we should all just take a deep breath, count to 10 and remember why we joined the party in the first place.
No, I’m not talking about the EU treaty shambles, that was D.U.L.L.-O., I talking about the blog spats [...]
Back in Blighty and a brand new blog
Filed in Blogging, Switzerland, December 20, 2007, 7:48 amWell, it’s not actually that new. In fact, it is pretty much identical to the last one, the only difference being the address - I am now hosting this blog myself using wordpress.org rather than on wordpress.com. The reason being that I am a bit of a geek and like playing around with techie [...]
